Eric Block is the founder and co-owner of Country Brothers Ice, a Nebraska-based ice company built on values that never go out of style: reliability, honesty, and treating customers like neighbors. Born and raised on a small farm in northeast Nebraska, Eric learned early the value of hard work and follow-through. His path to entrepreneurship was anything but direct: he earned a math degree, taught high school in South Louisiana, and spent years in the actuarial world before launching a business that feels like home.
The idea for Country Brothers Ice came during a hot Louisiana summer, when Eric got used to the convenience of ice vending machines. Returning to Nebraska, he saw a clear opportunity to serve local businesses with dependable ice delivery and crystal-clear product quality. With his brother-in-law and co-founder, Jason Williams, Eric set out to build a company that would do things differently—providing not just ice, but peace of mind and personal service you can count on.
Eric’s role goes far beyond operations. From bagging ice with his kids to supporting emergency event deliveries, he leads by example with a boots-on-the-ground attitude. At Country Brothers Ice, a handshake still means something, and every customer is treated like a partner.

Jason Williams serves as Co-Owner of Country Brothers Ice, bringing a strong foundation of technical expertise and hands-on leadership to the company. A skilled union welder by trade, Jason has built a career defined by precision, reliability, and a steadfast commitment to doing quality work.
When his brother-in-law Eric Block returned to Nebraska with the idea of launching a locally owned ice company—an idea inspired by Eric’s time in South Louisiana—Jason immediately recognized both the need and the opportunity. With a shared background rooted in rural values and a deep respect for hard work, the two partnered to turn that vision into reality.
Jason played a key role in the physical setup and operation of the company’s ice manufacturing facility, applying his mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure the business was built to last. Today, he remains focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, overseeing the day-to-day logistics that keep ice flowing to businesses and events across the region.
